Verse of the Week
Col 2:6-7 As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.
Weekly Message
When making a commitment to Christ, it is important to remember that it is a journey, not a destination. For the rest of our natural lives, we will go through seasons of growth. It is inherent in a believer that growing in God is a necessity.
In Colossians 2:6-7, we see that there are two levels of growth, rooting and building up. Building is not possible without first rooting. Deeper roots are the stabilizing factors that determine how far we can build up!
There is so much to these scriptures; they are also principles of spiritual growth. Let your roots be grounded in a good church, good friends who build you up, and a good mentor who helps mold you.
Weekly prayer
Lord, please guide me to the right ground in which I can get rooted. I resist the temptation to do this on my own, I lean on the Holy Spirit of God to help me in my journey with Christ, and that I will be rooted and established, built up in the Faith. My goal is to be rooted, built up, and producing fruit for the kingdom of God.
Interaction Question
What is your idea of being rooted? What does it mean to be established in the Faith? How does Teaching and thanksgiving help in your growth in God?

1 Corinthians 10:31
Whatever you’re doing show God is great and when you are eating or drinking anything? Do it unto the glory of God
The idea of being rooted is something that is established, in this case we are rooted by the rivers of living water, drinking that we maybe established fully in the word of God. Thank you for these little nuggets.
Thank you I needed this because the enemy tries to hinder my faith dealing with health issues but I refuse to let stop me. Because I'm healed in Jesus name I speak that over my life and I stand unmoved, firm, rooted and grounded so Jesus can continue to build me through his word. Thank you again for this word of encouragement to keep fighting the good fight of faith. Love you all and be blessed in Jesus name
The root and buildup nuggets are powerful. Thanks PMax.
Great study and prayer for spirit guided growth, PMAX! Thank you!
Your questions got me to Ps 1:3. Also, Eph 3:17 points to the love we have because of our faith; makes us thankful, flourishing, and prosperous never withering.
“They are like trees planted along the riverbank, bearing fruit each season. Their leaves never wither, and they prosper in all they do.”
